On the following pages, you can see the blog from the inaugural Duke TIP summer international field study in the Hague:
War, Children and International Justice:
The War Crimes Tribunals of The Hague
The course took place in late June and early July 2009, with a week in-residence at Duke University followed by a week in the Netherlands. Most of our time was spent in the Hague, where we visited the ICC, ICTY, ICJ and several other important institutions. Somehow we still found ample time to stroll the beachfront promenade of Schevinengen and take in a number of cultural attractions, including the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House. This July we'll be returning to the Netherlands for another fun-filled and educational week in the Hague and Amsterdam. Check back on June 27th for the first edition of the 2010 blog!
